Indianapolis .- May 28, 2017. the Hispanic Motor Press recognizes Ricardo Juncos with the coveted Premio Pasion (Passion Award) during the team historic participation on the 101st running of the Indy 500. The award is presented to individuals that excel in the automotive industry. Racing has been an important part of the car business and the Indy 500 race started in 1911 as a test of speed and reliability for auto manufacturer’s.

Ricardo Juncos , through his racing team, Juncos Racing, has demonstrated that perseverance, work ethics, organization, and above all passion, can deliver outstanding performance. The racing team started competing in the Mazda Road to Indy program in 2009. The Promazda series is the first professional step in American open wheel racing (comparable to European F3). In that series Juncos Racing won 4 team and 2 driver championships helping young drivers Connor Daly and Spencer Pigot with their driving careers. In 2015 Juncos Racing increased his operation to run an Indy Lights racing program. These 400 hp racing cars are the final step towards the maximum open wheel professional series in North America, the Verizon IndyCar series. Again Ricardo’s drivers coaching and commitment to excellence rewarded the team with a championship in the Indy Lights Series with Spencer Pigot as the driver. Now the team enters the toughest and fastest race in the world, the historic Indy 500 miles race at the Indianapolis Motor Speeway in Indiana, also know has the capital of the racing world.
